On the 3rd floor of the Museum of China Press and Publication, visitors can experience a digital recreation of Xinjiang's ancient Kizil Caves—3,900 kilometers away and more than 1,600 years old. These Buddhist murals, originally from the Kucha caves, have been faithfully 3D-scanned and printed, capturing their intricate details and vibrant stories.

Through AR technology, the paintings come alive, revealing tales of sacrifice, wisdom, and the values of Buddhist life. Beyond the caves, the museum's 4th floor hosts the RN Design Gallery, featuring striking Chinese posters from the 1960s. With free admission, air conditioning, and few tourists, it's an underrated cultural stop in Shanghai.
