    Jade on 36 is the flagship restaurant and bar of the luxe Shangri-La Hotel group's flagship hotel. Once a rarefied fine dining experience, Jade has recently made inroads to a broader audience with a more affordable and diverse menu. It modish, drawing inspiration from both Europe and Asia, with dishes like foie gras lollipops with strawberry confit, pumpkin soup with bacon foam, salmon poached in lemongrass and coconut milk, or chocolate churros for dessert. The dining room itself has undergone a commensurate facelift, with a more playful decor. Yet the spectacular river views remain.
