    Modern, multi-functional space located along Suzhou Creek, which is a 10 minutes' walk from Hanzhong Lu metro station. Apart from serving food and drinks, Cometa also sells homeware / fashion products, and hosts private events. Their menu features a range of cross-cultural dishes that come from the love story of the owner and his wife (like cold cuts with congyoubing), which they refuse to call "fusion". A very cosy and stylish spot to stop by.

    • "Great location in what looks like a former warehouse on Suzhou Creek. Opened by a Shanghainese-Italian couple and they still run the daily operations. It’s a cool looking low-profile space that unfortunately attracts a lot of younger Chinese girls taking photos and selfies, but apart from that, it’s a great date spot or just to hang out have a Spritz or Peroni (35rmb) and watch people drive by along the Creek. Simple but well executed Italian food and a changing menu (that’s refreshing in Shanghai), and relatively fair price points (also refreshing for Shanghai).

      So yeah, good for dates (if you want something interesting and not too fancy, or a casual dinner."
