    The team behind metal haunt CAVE has opened this big, back‑to‑basics livehouse in the IM Shanghai building near Hongqiao Station. With a bare‑bones black‑box aesthetic and a capacity of about 450, Cave Art Venue trades chandeliers and VIP tables for serious sound and a wide‑open stage. Cheap draft beers and simple cocktails (your choice of “Side A” or “Side B”) sit just off the mosh pit, and gig‑goers can spill out to the sunken plaza to grab snacks between sets. For bands and fans who don’t want to pay arena‑venue prices, it’s a welcome mid‑range alternative with underground cred.
