Formed in 2012, Japanese guitar rock band DYGL is known for explosive live shows, all-English lyrics, and a sound shaped by years spent in the US and UK. With four acclaimed albums and a brand-new record Who’s in the House?, they return to China for their long-awaited tour.

Japanese guitar rock band DYGL, founded in 2012, has won fans worldwide with their high-energy live shows and English lyrics. Early collaborations with Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes helped shape their distinctive sound that balances raw stage energy with refined production.

Their debut Say Goodbye to Memory Den (2017) made a splash on the Japanese rock scene, followed by Songs of Innocence & Experience (2019), which fueled a 53-city tour across Asia and New York. During the pandemic, back-to-back albums produced anthems like “Sink” and “Under My Skin,” resonating with listeners worldwide.

Now, DYGL enters a new chapter with Who’s in the House? — a fully live-recorded album that strips music back to its physical core, structured like a complete live setlist. It’s a rare, cohesive work in today’s singles-driven world.

Chinese audiences already know DYGL well: since their first China tour in 2017, they’ve returned multiple times, playing festivals like Strawberry, West Lake, and Concrete & Grass. They’ve also appeared at Fuji Rock, SXSW, and other international stages, while collaborating with brands like Fender, Fred Perry, Adidas, and Stella McCartney.
With their new album out, DYGL launches a major world tour — and after Japan, China is their very next stop.
